The building in these photographs is **NOT** Gordon Castle. It is Milne's Primary School in the High Street, Fochabers.
The Castle is a private house and not open to the public, so there is no point thinking of visiting it. The only part of the grounds that is mainly open is the Walled Garden, which is in course of redevelopment. It has a rustic restaurant and offers tours of the garden. It's pleasant enough, and the food is fine, but it's not the world's most exciting destination. There is a pretty walk round the lake, but since the Fochabers bybass was built it is no longer easily accessible direct from the village.
